Swedish rape probe against Assange to be reopened - prosecutors

Swedish prosecutors have announced on Monday that they are reopening an investigation into the rape allegations against WikiLeaks founder and Australian journalist Julian Assange.

The investigation was dropped in 2017 while Assange was in the Ecuadorian embassy in London.

The prosecutor also said that Sweden would seek the extradition of Assange after he has served his prison term in the United Kingdom.
