Thai police say they have made three large seizures of illegal drugs, including 10 million methamphetamine pills and 37kg heroin hidden under sacks of chicken manure.

Police said in a statement on Tuesday that four people were arrested in the case of the drugs discovered in a pickup truck concealed between large sacks of chicken manure.

In two other cases, police arrested three people over the possession of 2 060g of crystal methamphetamine and another five people suspected of trafficking 917kg of marijuana.

Police announced the arrests at a news conference held at the Narcotics Suppression Bureau, where it also showcased piles of the seized drugs.
