At temperatures close to zero degrees Celsius, these Finnish ice swimmers are braver than most of us.

"The colder the weather gets, the warmer the sea feels," says one brave soul, who reckons he's swum in icy water in winter many thousands of times in his life.

Going back and forth between the water and the heat of a sauna makes for the ultimate relaxation, according to the lovers of this chilly pastime.
