A woman is looking forward to getting a robotic hand after her abusive husband cut off hers.

Domestic violence victim Margarita Gracheva (25), from Moscow in Russia, was tortured by her husband Dmitry Grachev (26) after he tried to get her to admit to having an affair.

Dmitry, who is a psychologist, dragged her to the woods in Western Moscow to try and get a confession from her.

But after the 25-year-old refused to give him the answer he wanted to hear, Dmitry forced her onto her knees with her knees on a tree stump and chopped off both her hands

He then rushed her to the hospital with blood gushing from her arms before turning himself over to local police.

Margarita underwent a 10-hour operation as doctors battled to save her severed hands. Unfortunately, doctors were only able to save one hand.

Despite her amputation, Margarita took to social media recently to share some good news with her family and friends.

"My dears, thanks to you, I am going to Germany to get a prosthesis. Expect me in a month with a robotic hand,” she says.

Margarita, who can’t wait to have her robot hand fitted, later revealed that she was attacked by the father of her children after she demanded a divorce from him.

Dmitry remains in custody ahead of a court appearance in February and faces up to 15 years in jail if he is convicted.
