A woman died on Tuesday night and three others were injured after a shooting at YouTube’s headquarters in San Francisco, California.

According to The Mercury News, the family of Nasim Aghdam, the shooter, reported her missing on Monday.

Her father Ismail had said to the police on that same night that his daughter might go to the YouTube office because she hated the company.

Nasim had been missing since Saturday, The Mercury News reports. But the 38-year-old woman was found sleeping in her car hours before the shooting. Her family was informed that everything was “under control”.

Katie Nelson, police spokesperson, confirmed police had found Nasim in her car at 2am on Tuesday.

“Our officers made contact with the woman after the license plate of her vehicle matched that of a missing person out of Southern California. The woman confirmed her identity to us and answered subsequent questions. At the conclusion of our discussion, her family was notified that she’d been located,” Nelson said.

Hours later Nasim shot a man and two women with a handgun before killing herself.

Her father said in an interview on Wednesday that his daughter had been upset with YouTube, claiming censorship and that the video-streaming service had stopped paying her for her content she’d posted online.

“She was angry,” he said.

Ismail described his daughter as a vegan activist and an animal lover.

She spoke in January 2017 about her suspicion that YouTube was censoring her content.

All her online profiles were closed shortly after the shooting incident.

According to reports, her brother, Shahran Aghdam, said on Wednesday she would have celebrated her 39th birthday. He added that she’d never hurt anyone before, and he had no idea where she may have gotten a gun.

“She chose the day to die the day she came,” her brother said.
