Our hearts go out to those who lost loved ones aboard the Malaysia Airlines flight MH17.

All 298 people aboard the Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 are dead, after the plane was allegedly gunned down by a suspected Russian-made surface-to-air missile. The Ukrainian government has denounced it an "act of terror", and the world watches in utter shock as the smoke begins to clear and a better understanding of the causes behind the crash begin to take shape.

The plane was flying from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur, and was hit at an altitude of 33, 000 feet.
