Anyone who follows Amanda Bynes on Twitter could have seen this meltdown coming from a long way off, but we didn’t think it would be this bad! The once cute-as-a-button star of She’s The Man was arrested last week on charges of attempted evidence tampering, reckless endangerment and marijuana possession. Wow, move over, Lindsay . . .

Before she slips any further on that downward spiral, here are 10 things you need to know about Hollywood’s latest nutcase:

  1. She had her own sketch comedy show on Nickelodeon from 1999 to 2002 called The Amanda Show.
  2. Her first big movie role was in What a Girl Wants which also starred Colin Firth and Kelly Preston.
  3. She was the voice of Nellie in Charlotte’s Web 2 and Piper Pinwheeler in Robots.
  4. Amanda’s most recent movie role was playing strictly religious Marianne Bryant in Easy A, opposite Emma Stone.
  5. Her father, Rick Bynes, was a dentist who also moonlighted as a stand-up comedian.
  6. In 2007 Amanda signed a five-year deal with Steve & Barry’s, a US casual clothing company, to design a fashion line, Dear. But the company filed for bankruptcy just a few months later.
  7. In 2010 Amanda announced on Twitter she wanted to retire from acting: “I don’t love acting any more, so I’ve stopped doing it.” A month later, she announced that she’d “unretired”.
  8. In September 2012 she was charged for two hit-and-run incidents, after she fled the scene of accidents she’d caused.
  9. In April last year she was arrested and charged with driving under the influence after she crashed into a police car, but was eventually released without posting bail.

10. Twenty-seven-year-old Amanda’s parents are reportedly worried she may be bipolar or schizophrenic and want her to be treated in a psychiatric hospital.
