5 Frizz busters you need to know

Banish the frizzies forever with these fantastic tips.

1. Wash

When choosing a shampoo and conditioner, select them according to your hair type and make sure they also contain ingredients, such as silicone, that are geared towards smoothing the hair cuticle. After washing make sure to leave conditioner on for at least five minutes before rinsing and blotting dry with a towel. Don’t rub.

2. Prep

Use only a pea-size blob of anti-frizz product. Rub it between your hands, then rake your fingers through your hair, from roots to tip, focusing on the top layer of your hair. Spritz a heat-protecting spray.

3. Blow-dry

To wear your hair straight, reach for a big round brush and attach the hairdryer’s nozzle. Direct the air from the dryer downward to keep the hair shaft intact. Do this until your hair is completely dry.

4. Diffuse

When wanting to wear your hair curly rather use your hairdryer’s diffuser attachment and dry hair from below, gently scrunching strands from the tips upwards to retain the curl.

5. Treat

Give your hair a deep-conditioning treatment with keratin for 10 minutes once a week to seal the cuticle and repair damage.
