Brace yourselves, Game of Thrones is returning!

HBO finally released the official version of the Game of Thrones season 5 trailer last week. While the hit show is set to only return to small screens on 12 April, we scoured the trailer before picking out five things you can expect from the upcoming season.

'Nothing is more hateful than failing to protect the ones you love'

1. The trailer begins with the incestuous twins Jaime and Cersei. The seriously gloomy facial expressions hint at difficult times ahead after the events of season 4. This is confirmed by the voiceover, "Nothing is more hateful than failing to protect the ones you love."

2. In true Game of thrones style, season 5 will show another (hopefully less gory) wedding. This time Margaery will wed Tommen, Joffrey's younger brother.

3. "There's no justice in this world. Not unless we make it. Avenge them." Hectic words coming from Littlefinger. As far as the trailer goes, it looks like he and Sansa are still together and will be gunning for revenge against the brutal murder of her family.

4. The journey continues for Tyrion and his new beard. The trailer shows Cersei furious at about how "that little monster" is "somewhere out there drawing breath." We can't wait to witness Tyrion's new adventures.

5. The trailer also features Daenrys spotting a sultrier ensemble. Will the mother of dragons finally fulfill her destiny and become ruler of all?
