Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge is taking cooking lessons from her new housekeeper.

Britain’s Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge is getting a few nifty tips in the kitchen.

Kate, who’s expecting her first child with husband Prince William, has reportedly been seeking advice from her new housekeeper, Antonella Fresolone – who was known in her 13 years at Buckingham Palace as a housekeeper for the queen for her “delicious” Italian cooking.

According to Us Weekly magazine Antonella is particularly famed for her pasta and freshly baked bread and has been teaching Kate several new dishes since her appointment three weeks ago.

The duchess might be expanding her culinary options during late pregnancy, having craved particular foods such as lavender shortbread and papaya during the earlier months.

The lavender shortbread is sold by her father-in-law Prince Charles’ Duchy Originals organic food brand and London-based department store Fortnum & Mason. A source recently said, “A lot of women develop cravings during pregnancy and Kate is no exception. She’s got a real taste for these biscuits.

“Lavender is said to have healing properties so it’s not such a wacky food to nibble on when you're pregnant.”
