A wine lover’s dream weekend

16 May 2017

This popular family-friendly event takes place from 1 to 4 June 2017.

Taste the lifestyle at the Robertson Wine Valley’s 14th annual Wacky Wine Weekend.

Showcasing more than 40 wine estates, boutique wineries and tourism establishments from the Ashton, Bonnievale, McGregor and Robertson region.

WARM up this winter with award-winning wines through tutored tastings by winemakers, cellar tours, wine pairings and tastings. Expect to be entertained with live music, outdoor sports, arts and craft stalls, scrumptious country cuisine and family fun!

There’s truly something for everyone at this extravaganza celebrating the fruits of the vines. From mountain biking and trail expeditions for the adventurous to boat cruises and picnics for romantic festivalgoers.

Families can have fun together playing lawn games or giant chess and the kids will love interacting with the farm animals and sitting on the biggest red chair in Africa.

Couples can seal their love at the love lock wall and foodies will be spoilt for choice to tickle their taste buds. And then, of course, there will be wine, the focus of the festival.

The event takes place at multiple wineries and tourism establishments, each showcasing a feast of unique activities. Expect a line-up to suit the fun-seeker, novice or wine connoisseur. Most are included in your weekend pass; others work on a pay-as-you-go system.

You can also enter the Wacky Wine Weekend’s Instagram competition to stand a chance to win a Wacky Wine Weekend experience and prizes from Russell Hobbs.

Tickets are available online through WebTickets. Select the options relevant to you and complete the purchase by selecting a winery from the list that will be your first stop.

Upon arrival at Wacky Wine, exchange your WebTicket at your selected first stop and receive your Wacky Passport consisting of a wine glass, water bottle, wristband, programme and coupons. Guests may use the coupon system to enjoy six free tastings at each participating winery.
