Adele has been asked to perform at Roman Abramovich's annual New Year's Eve party in the Caribbean.

Adele has been asked to perform at a New Year's Eve party hosted by Chelsea soccer boss Roman Abramovich.

'He always has a big star performing and this year will be no different.'

The Skyfall'singer and Spurs fan, who will pick up her MBE at Buckingham Palace today,  will have to swallow her pride after being asked to sing at the annual bash in the Caribbean.

A source told The Sun newspaper: "Adele is one name on a list of targets for Roman. He always has a big star performing and this year will be no different.

"A mini-break somewhere exotic will always appeal.

"Roman's parties are legendary. He throws so much money at them that they never disappoint."

The party will be held on Roman's 70-acre Gouverneur Bay Estate and the celebrations will end with a firework display.

The Chelsea owner's wife, Dasha Zhukova, is said to be a huge fan and personally requested Adele.

Last year's party set Roman back £5 million as the guest list included Star Wars creator George Lucas, music mogul Russell Simmons and film producer Harvey Weinstein.

This year Bond actor Daniel Craig and his wife Rachel Weisz will be joined by the director Sam Mendes.

Previous acts who have performed for the billionaire include - Beyonce, Prince, Gwen Stefani and the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Adele is reportedly working with producer Paul Epworth once again on the follow-up to her multi-award-winning album 21 and new material is expected to be 'grittier'.
