Ashton Kutcher says co-star Jon Cryer is “a true partner in every sense of the word”.

The 37-year-old actor stars alongside Jon in hit comedy show Two and a Half Men, which is drawing to a close with one final episode on Thursday night.

And on the eve of the episode, Ashton took to his Facebook page to pay tribute to Jon.

'You are a true partner in every sense of the word'

“Thank you Mr. Cryer for making this job never feel like work. I will miss working with you every day. You are a true partner in every sense of the word,” Ashton wrote alongside a touching picture of the pair.

Ashton was drafted in to star in the show after Charlie Sheen was fired in 2011.

And it seems that working in such close quarters with Job has led to them forming a lifelong friendship. “In four years I never heard you complain and never heard you speak ill of another person even if they took advantage of your kindness and generosity,” Ashton continued. “You are a gentleman. You are a talent. You are someone I look up to. See you tomorrow night. #twoandahalfmen.”

It was claimed earlier this month that Charlie would be making a cameo appearance in the finale. However, according to reports, talks for a potential return “imploded”, leading to Charlie’s role being cut from the episode. Charlie himself confirmed that he wouldn’t be appearing in the show, writing on Twitter: “Attention World. If you’re looking for my much-anticipated cameo on network TV, you’ll have to check out The Goldbergs, Wed., Feb. 25th on ABC! I go where the love is.”
