Beckham family 'no longer a brand but a tribe'

Victoria and David Beckham’s famous family are morphing into ‘Tribe Beckham’.

The A-list pair are proud parents to children Brooklyn, 17, Romeo, 13, Cruz, 11, and four-year-old Harper. While the younger kids are yet to make a mark on the showbiz world, Romeo and especially Brooklyn are finding their own feet. Romeo was tapped by Burberry to model for the English brand, while keen photographer Brooklyn was hired by the label to shoot a campaign for the company. The teenager also recently appeared on the cover of L'Uomo Vogue, snapped by famed lensman Terry Richardson, and his relationship with actress Chloe Grace Moretz has seen his status soar too.

“The family gets lots of requests and hundreds are politely declined," a Beckham insider told Britain’s Grazia magazine. "But Brooklyn is super-keen on photography. If he is invited to shoot L'Uomo Vogue with a great photographer like Terry Richardson, it’s invaluable experience so David and Victoria will say yes.

“It’s not just Brand Beckham any more, this is Tribe Beckham. They’re a tight-knit unit.”

The shift in interest is going down well with fans, who often get to see David, 41, and Victoria showing off their brood on social media. Victoria, 42, has also been delighting followers by showing a new side of herself online, posting countless snaps and videos dispelling her pouty media image.

Recent uploads include the former Spice Girl dancing the Electric Slide with hair stylist Ken Paves and a selfie with a filter of joke glasses and a moustache added over the top.

“There’s nothing calculated about her Instagram posts,” a second source stated. “She’s being herself and has always been this way, but her fans are seeing more of that side of her than before. She’s much more relaxed, showing the Victoria that her family know so well. It’s open, warm and fun.”
