Boerewors rolls with chakalaka

Serves 4

500 g boerewors sausage

wholewheat hotdog rolls

about 500 ml mixed salad leaves

1 can (410 g) of chakalaka

1.    Cook the boerewors sausage in a saucepan slowly over low heat. Fry until golden brown and cooked. Set aside and keep warm.

2.    Slice the rolls lengthways and place the salad leaves inside. Cut the sausage into pieces a bit longer than the length of the rolls.

3.    Heat the chakalaka and spoon the sauce over the boerewors.
