Boerewors rolls with chakalaka

A relish originally made by mine workers to spice up their mielie meal

Preparation: Less than 45 minutes

Serves: 6

2 tbsp PnP sunflower oil, or sunfoil oil, for frying

1 packet traditional boerewors

1 can chakalaka, (410g)

6 hot dog rolls

6 sprigs coriander, chopped, for serving


Heat a glug of oil and fry wors until browned and cooked to your liking

Serve sausage on rolls wth a dollop of chakalaka and a little coriander

More good ideas:

  1. Serve sausage and chakalaka with cooked mielie meal
  2. Use tomato and onion relish in place of chakalaka
