What a champ!

Heroic Zavi Ahmed came to the rescue after a one-year-old girl was trapped in a hot car yesterday. Iris Adamski’s grandparents were packing groceries into their Volkswagen Beetle after a shopping trip when the car locked itself with Iris and the keys inside.

'It really was a case of Batman to the rescue'

The toddler’s grandmother, Caroline Penny then called the police who tried to break into the car. “We called the police and they tried everything and eventually smashed the back window they couldn’t reach the door because it’s quite small,” explained Caroline. And that’s when “Batman” arrived on the scene.

The five-year-old wandered over with his mom and offered to crawl in through the window to fetch the keys. “It really was a case of Batman to the rescue," said John Penny, Iris’s grandfather.

Zavi, whose favourite superhero is Batman said, “I always feel like a superhero but that day was special.”
