The 65-year-old Olympic Gold Medallist was known as Bruce before announcing the intent to adopt a new female identity in April this year during an interview with Diane Sawyer on 20/20.
Caitlyn came out as a woman in the July 2015 issue of Vanity Fair, donning a bustier and a full face of makeup on the publication’s famous cover.
'She’s finding the surgery hell on her body'
But it seems as if Caitlyn is hitting a rough spot with the gender reassignment transition, as Radar Online reports she is in “complete agony” at the moment.
“Caitlyn’s in constant pain since she had all those operations,” an insider told the outlet. “She’s happy with how her transformation’s going, but she’s finding the surgery hell on her body.”
It’s claimed she is “often complaining of pain” around her ears and face due to a facelift procedure. However, her doctors are supposedly telling her to stay calm, as extreme physical discomfort is to be expected whilst undergoing such a significant metamorphosis.
Despite all the pain, Caitlyn is allegedly telling friends and family she has absolutely no regrets.
She is also using medication to help her cope.
“She’s currently taking painkillers until the work on her face and body settles in,” the source said.
In her interview with Vanity Fair, Caitlyn discussed why her transformation into a woman has become the biggest priority as she enters her Golden Years.
“If I was lying on my deathbed and I had kept this secret and never ever did anything about it, I would be lying there saying, ‘You just blew your entire life’,” Caitlyn shared.
