Charlie Sheen wants to return to Two and a Half Men.

The actor was replaced by Ashton Kutcher after a very public feud with the show’s creator, Chuck Lorre, back in 2011. With the series now gearing up for its finale, Charlie told TV Guide he believes allowing him to return would be a show of “good will and a tip of the hat to the fans”. "I've reached out to them and they've reached back," he said. "We're trying to figure out what makes the most sense. If they figure it out like I've presented it to them and they want to include me in some final send-off, I'm available and I'm showing up early. If not, it's on them."

The remarks may come as a surprise to those who have followed the Two and a Half Men saga since Charlie was axed three years ago and subsequently sued Chuck Lorre, CBS and Warner Bros. TV.

His character, Charlie Harper, was killed off, leaving the actor free to launch his FX show, Anger Management.

Shortly thereafter CBS Entertainment president Nina Tassler dismissed the notion of Charlie’s return, telling reporters at the Television Critics Association press tour he had “moved to greener pastures”.

Charlie, however, now says he would like to put the feud behind him.

“Ethereally we have [made peace], personally we have not," he said. "But I'm easy to grab. He was doing his job, I was doing mine. At the end of the day, the guy's a genius. Look at what he does. I don't have to spend time with him anymore for him to be brilliant. I wish him nothing but the best.”
