Christina Aguilera is pressuring Adam Levine to have babies.

Five months after the birth of her second child, daughter Summer Rain, the Voice mentor-and-judge is returning to her role on the reality singing competition. But with her precious little girl never far from her mind, she’s keen for her co-star to jump on the baby bandwagon.

Sitting down with her co-star for an interview with E! News, the mother-of-two positively lit up as she talked about her baby girl. And she soon turned the table on Adam as she asked him just when he’s going to start a family of his own.

'We’re looking at the next year. We have some time'

She quizzed the 34-year-old Maroon 5 frontman point blank about his plans to have children with his Victoria’s Secret Angel wife Behati Prinsloo (25) and Adam revealed that while they’re in no rush, it will likely be sooner than later.

“Oh, dude. Soon,” said the newlywed, who was married in a beautiful beach wedding in Mexico on July 19 last year. “I don’t know Christina. We’re looking at the next year. We have some time.”

To which Christina suggested, “Next spring!”

It’s clear that motherhood agrees with the pop star, who is also the proud mother of seven-year-old son Max from her previous marriage to Jordan Bratman.

Talking about the differences in raising sons and daughters, the 34-year-old noted that girls are “more sensitive” and notes that it takes longer to soothe her daughter when she’s crying.

“Girls are a little more sensitive. It’s so cute, though! There’s a difference between boys and girls – to me, anyway. Boys are a little more tough, like [they] shake it off a little bit better. But it makes me want to just protect her so much more. It’s just like, ‘Oh, my God, world! Don’t corrupt her!’” she laughed.

Fortunately for the star, who is engaged to Summer’s father, Matthew Rutler (29) her son is super protective of his little sister.

She affectionately refers to Max as “an old grandma”, laughing that the youngster is “so engaged” with her and “loves being a big brother”.
