Construction worker in court after Maties student murder

A construction worker arrested in connection with the murder of Stellenbosch University student Robyn Pearce is expected to appear in the Cape Town Magistrate’s Court on Monday.

Robyn (20) was found dead in her mother’s flat in Sea Point on December 2.

The head of the City of Cape Town’s Special Investigations Unit, Reynold Talmakkies, had earlier said that information garnered from the community led to an arrest.

They had also identified the blood-stained clothing he was allegedly wearing during the incident as well as the possible murder weapon.
