Kate has been doing regular Pilates sessions and taking her dog Lupo for walks in a bid to stay fit during her pregnancy.

Britain's Duchess of Cambridge is reportedly keeping fit with Pilates during her pregnancy.

The 31-year-old royal - who announced she was expecting her first child with husband Prince William in December - has been staying trim and healthy by fitting in three workout sessions a week and sleeping as much as possible.

A source told Now magazine: "She's been doing it three times a week because she feels it's the best type of exercise for her - unlike yoga, she can focus on specific areas of her body."

"Kate's been looking after herself by making sure she gets eight to 10 hours of sleep a night. She's also been playing soothing music by Emeli Sandé, Ellie Goulding and Adele to her bump."

The brunette beauty - also known as Kate Middleton - has been enjoying long walks with her spaniel Lupo in their cottage in Anglesey, Wales, while William is otherwise engaged with his RAF pilot duties. The cute pooch is said to be a "great comfort" to her whenever he is away.

Catherine has suffered a difficult first few months of her pregnancy and was treated in King Edward VII Hospital in London for acute morning sickness.

The royal has reportedly developed a craving for lavender shortbread and has stocked up on the calorific treats in a bid to get rid of her illness thanks to their anti-nausea properties.
