The Japanese have a distinctive, funky and individual sense of style. Here, showing off that unique stylishness, are our three favourites . . .

1. Asian textile

Tao Okamoto is wearing a Miharayasuhiro gown at the Wolverine movie premiere. This Japanese model and actress looks great in a metallic, floral embroidery dress with a hint of camouflage.

2. Asian beauty

Rila Fukushima looks gorgeous in this strapless blue and black striped tailored jumpsuit. This Stella McCartney Pre-Fall 2013 creation gives the Japanese model and actress an edgy look at the Wolverine premiere.

3. Asian embellishment

Rinko Kikuchi is wearing a Fausto Puglisi Fall 2013 creation at the Pacific Rim movie premiere. This black embellished double-slit dress is a bit daring, but looks beautiful and fits her body well.
