Fish cakes & Fries

Little ones will love these cute fish-shaped cakes.

You'll need:


Remove the skin and bones from 750 g cooked white fish, and flake. Mix the fish, 1 cup (250 ml) white breadcrumbs, 1 mashed potato, 1 beaten egg, 1/2 cup (125 ml) grated cheese, chopped parsley (optional) and salt to taste. Leave to stand for 20 minutes. Heat a small amount of oil in a pan. Fry spoonfuls of the mixture (or spoon into fish shaped cookie cutters - see photograph) until done. Drain, season with a drop of lemon juice and serve with fries.
