Fish with beetroot salsa

A delicious offering for a light meal, ready from scratch to serve in less than half an hour!

Serves 4

Preparation time: 20 min

Cooking time: 5 min


4 beetroot, cooked and finely diced

8 spring onions, chopped

1 red chilli, seeded and chopped

30 ml (2 T) chopped fresh coriander

30 ml (2 T) lemon juice

75 ml (5 T) olive oil

salt and pepper


4 hake fillets

salt and pepper

cake flour for dusting

25 g butter

5 ml (1 t) oil

1    Salsa: Put the beetroot in a bowl, add the remaining ingredients and stir well.

2    Fish: Season the fillets with salt and pepper, then dust with the flour.

3    Melt the butter in a large pan with the oil. Fry the fish on each side for 4 minutes or until done, golden and crispy. Serve with the beetroot salsa.
