"I still can’t believe it happened," the 20-year-old from PE said.

One thing Gayton McKenzie is certainly guilty of having a big heart. Praises started pouring in on Twitter for the conman-turned-motivational speaker after Gayton promised R50 000 to a follower who tweeted a cry for help. "Moms been tryin to recover after 3yrs of fighting cancer," Yolanda Zamxaka (20) wrote. "Pls RT to help her get back on her feet again. PLEASE RT.??? #WhatsYourNext"

Gayton replied, "I have been given a second chance by strangers, would like 2 do same 4 your mom. Kindly accept a 50 thousand from me,@Bakilulu pls arrange," he tweeted

And the Hustler’s Bible author made good on his promise.

Yolanda, an accounting student from the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University in Port Elizabeth, was ecstatic.

“I was really stunned when Gayton tweeted me and I still can’t believe it happened. But it doesn’t need to make sense, I am just so thankful to God for this and He clearly worked through him for this to happen,” she says.

Her mom, Ntombentsha was diagnosed with breast cancer three years ago and is in recovery after undergoing chemo.

“This experience has really taught me about the essence of Ubuntu and it has got me wanting to do more for others too,” Yolanda tells YOU.

“We have received the money and I would like to thank Gayton from the bottom of my heart. I have no words but from my mom and I, his generosity means the world and it will have a huge impact. He needs to continue doing such great work,” she adds.

“The money is now with my mom and she will decide how to use it to get herself back on her feet. Before she got sick she was self-employed and that all fell apart, so the money will really help and will help with paying my fees too.”
