German frankfurter casserole

Serves 2-4

Cooking time: about 30 min

500 g frankfurters, cut into 2,5 cm slices

1 packet (100 g) pitted black olives

1 can (410 g) whole-kernel sweet corn, drained

200 g green beans, cut into pieces

1 onion, finely chopped

1 can (410 g) cream of tomato soup

15 ml (1 T) sugar or 10 ml (2 t) sweet chilli sauce

2 ml (½ t) salt

2 ml (½ t) paprika

250 ml (1 c) grated Cheddar cheese

15 ml (1 T) finely chopped parsley

Preheat the oven to 160 °C. Grease an ovenproof dish with nonstick spray. Mix all the ingredients except the parsley and spoon the mixture into the prepared dish. Cover with aluminium foil and bake for about 30 minutes or until done. Garnish with parsley just before serving. Serve with mashed potatoes and sauerkraut.
