Morgan's moving on and moving out.

A new year, a new home for Morgan Deane.

In the first post on her blog, The Green Girl’s Guide to Divorce, on Thursday, former Proteas captain Graeme Smith’s estranged wife revealed she's planning to move out of the Cape Town house she'd shared with him and their two children, Cadence (4) and Carter (3).

Morgan (31) stayed on in the home when their marriage fell apart and the divorce hasn’t been finalised yet.

Apparently tonight I'm going to be your waitress ??

“I'm lucky enough to live in a beautiful house. It’s all white inside: white walls, white furniture and white floors. It’s airy and has lots of big windows. In the eyes of the world it’s a real ‘winner’s’ home but it became my prison,” the Irish singer blogged.

“The walls were cemented with heartbreak and glossed with tears. The roof concealed the angry arguments and ghostly images of a couple who ‘just couldn’t’ any more. I remember the days when I'd drop to my knees, talking to a God who at the time I wasn’t sure even existed. I begged Him to help me understand why everything had happened or at least to show me how I was meant to cope.

“I’ve somehow learnt to love this house again. I’m still here but will soon be leaving. It’s time.”

She called her blog The Green Girl’s Guide to Divorce not because she’s Irish but because she was so green when it came to a failed marriage. A book with the same title is set for release in March.

In a video on her blog Morgan advises women how to survive their marriages breaking up. “There were days when I genuinely thought I wasn't going to get through this,” she says in the video.

“It’s been the hardest thing I’ve ever done in my life. But I’m so glad I’m at the other end now and that for me and for my children I’ve been able to keep it together. Yes, I’ve made mistakes along the way; I've made a lot of mistakes. But I think the reason I went through this is to give this message back to other people who are about to begin this. It’s been educational, it’s been tough [and] it’s been painful but I’m still here.”

She recently made headlines after being detained by police for a few hours for not having renewed her visa since September 2015. The case is ongoing.

Morgan and Graeme (35) married in 2011 but their relationship began to crumble in early 2015. The former Protea player recently became a father for the third time. His son Sebastien, with his new love, Cape Town lawyer Romy Lanfranchi (37), was born last month. Romy has two young sons from a previous marriage.
