Princess Charlene's mother, Lynette Wittstock, has left South Africa as she jetted off to Monaco last night, to meet her royal grandkids.

Lynette Wittstock has flown out to Monaco to meet her newest grandchildren.

The royal babies, Gabriella and Jacques were born 10 December 2014, but this is the first opportunity Lynette has had to meet them.

Prince Albert and Princess Charlene of Monaco  showed off their children earlier this month, appearing on the balcony at the Palais Princier in Monaco. The twins were met with an adoring cheer from the locals who had gathered outside the palace to see them. Princess Charlene's father, Mike, said he was excited to meet his new grandkids and he plans to visit soon as well. Meeting with YOU this week, Mike confirmed he would no longer directly deal with the media and he had appointed a close family friend to be the new family spokesperson. The royal twins now make the tally at four grandkids for Mike and Lynette Wittstock. The  youngest of the twins, Jacques, born just two minutes after his sister Gabriella, is the heir to the Monaco throne.
