A surprising casting choice.

British actor Joseph Fiennes has been cast to play Michael Jackson in new 9/11 road-trip drama.

The upcoming movie will be will be based on the road trip the King of Pop reportedly took after the 9/11 terror attacks in 2001. The details of the questionable trip first emerged when the story was published in Vanity Fair. The movie co-stars Stockard Channing as Elizabeth Taylor and Brian Cox as Marlon Brando.
"They actually got as far as Ohio – all three of them, in a car they drove themselves," a former employee of the King of Pop told the magazine. However, a source from Elizabeth's camp told Vanity Fair that she hadn't gone on the road-trip. Instead, she had stayed in New York, visiting Ground Zero and praying in a church.

“It’s a fun, lighthearted, tongue-in-cheek road-trip of what celebrity of that kind is like. But also it’s rather beautiful and poignant about their relationships,” Joseph said, describing the script.

The English actor has also appeared in Shakespeare in Love and American Horror Story.
