“This is for real, not a movie role,” a representative for the actor wrote on his official Facebook page alongside a photograph of the badly injured star.

Although he clearly is in a great deal of pain, the actor is still positively holding his thumb high to show that he’s okay.

Aside from injuries to his neck and back, Jim, who played opposite Colin Firth in Another Country, needed two blood transplants and will be operated on shortly.

Jim, who was born in Essex, is especially well known for his role as Tom, the innkeeper, who meets Harry in the Leaky Cauldron in the third installment of the popular film series.

It’s not clear where the accident took place The Guardian reports but Jim spends most of his time in Los Angeles these days.
