The singer and actress has been forced to cancel an upcoming concert in light of the devastating news.

Olivia Newton-John has been forced to cancel an upcoming concert in Canada, after revealing her cancer had returned

The 68-year-old singer and actress' management team shared a post on Facebook last week saying she will cancel a number of meeting sessions for upcoming concerts because of her back pain.

But on Tuesday, they revealed on her official page her breast cancer had returned and spread to her back.

But the Grease star is determined to beat the disease -- she expects to return to the stage by the end of the year, after she had undergone radiation therapy.

"I decided on my direction of therapies after consultation with my doctors and natural therapists and the medical team at my Olivia Newton-John Cancer Wellness and Research Centre in Melbourne, Australia,” she said.

The Hopelessly Devoted To You singer told The Guardian in 2008 that her cancer diagnosis in 1992 changed her perspective [on life] forever.

At the age of 43, she was treated for breast cancer for the first time, where she received partial mastectomy, chemotherapy and breast reconstruction.

“I had a radical modified mastectomy, which was a very emotional thing to go through, but physically it wasn’t such a big thing for me.

“A lot of women get freaked out when they lose a breast or go through surgery because it impacts so much on who they are, but I always say you are not the sum of your breasts. You are a whole person.”
