In somewhat similar circumstances, a Colorado mother has saved her five-year-old son by fighting a mountain lion after it attacked the little boy in their front garden.

The unidentified mother told the Pitkin County Sheriff's Office that her son was playing with his older brother when she suddenly heard screaming.

She raced outside and found the animal on top of the little boy.
