Their reason? They have always been too busy.

An unofficial digital couple has sent the internet into a frenzy with their outrageous ‘love story’.

Meet Josh Avsec and Michelle Arendas.

After matching on Tinder, the pair has spent three years communicating without ever meeting.

And judging by their hilarious message exchanges, it’s not hard to see why – the simplest of tasks keep them occupied for months!

Their online fame all started when Josh shared screenshots of their chat on Twitter. “One day I'm going to meet this girl and it's going to be epic. Look at the dates of our Tinder texts,” he captioned the tweet.

Josh revealed that he first messaged Michelle as a joke because she was ‘different’ from the other girls he had matched with.

"Tinder was super new at the time for my whole friend group. At the time, I had matched with a whole bunch of girls and I took it as a joke," he told BuzzFeed.

"I sent them some pretty humorous lines. And then I bumped into Michelle. She seemed a little different, so I sent her something different."

Josh then sent her the typical ‘Hey’ message.

Proving she was indeed different, Michelle responded two months later, saying: “Hey, sorry, my phone died."

To which Josh replied, “Wow, you found that pretty fast. It usually takes me about five months to find my charger.”

The initial interactions between the pair set the tone for the years that followed, with months passing before the one would respond to the other.

And what made it funny was the lame excuse the person would conjure up as ‘apology’ for the overdue reply.

The pair chose Hawaii and Tinder swiftly responded with a word of warning.

It seems the internet is tired of the couple’s dilly-dallying.
