Don't be disappointed if you don't see the new reactions immediately -- there are a few tricks you can try.

On desktop computers, simply hover over the old faithful Like button, and the new options (Love, Haha, Wow, Angry and Sad) should appear. Once you start using reactions, you will be able to see the top three reactions each post has received. Hovering over them will reveal a list of people who have "Haha-ed", "Wow-ed" or "Angry-ed" your post, for example.

If using a smartphone, you may need to completely close the app and reopen it for reactions to become available.

In some cases, Mashable reports,  you'll need to hit Like first  for a little tutorial for reactions to appear. You'll be able to use them after that.

If this doesn't work, check to see if your Facebook needs updating.
