The 24-year-old claims that after her manager fired her, he asked her to go for a drink.

A 24-year-old from London claims she was sacked from her job at a production company. Emma Hulse told The Evening Standard she was sent home just five minutes into her eight-hour shift as a runner for the Soho-based company UNIT TV. The worst part? After sending her on her way, her line manager then asked her out for a drink!

“We were supposed to finish at 6pm and I got there for 9.30am and when I got there this other runner started explaining to me what I should do," the slim brunette told the outlet. I got there and spoke to the line manager and he asked me, ‘are you a model? Are you not doing catwalks, why are you not at the front of house?’

She claims the manager then went on to ask for her number and invite her for a drink. “I was wearing a lipstick but from my perspective I was not inappropriate. I was wearing a shirt and trousers. I really didn’t think I looked inappropriate.”

Emma says she was disappointed at having been sent home. “Maybe that company employs plain looking people and maybe if you don’t look that way they don’t take you, maybe I was a distraction."

But owner of UNIT TV Adam Luckwell responded to Emma's claims saying she had been dismissed following a three-month probation period.

"We found there were a number of things we were not happy with."
