These baby names are so out of fashion they may soon be extinct.

If you're a Gary, Dennis or Nigel or an Angela, Sheila or Wendy, chances are you may be the last of your kind!

Turns out these names along with a bunch of others are going out of fashion so fast they could be effectively extinct within the next 50 years.

Online resource BabyCentre in the UK have released a list of names that are no longer being registered by new parents, and while it is restricted to the United Kingdom, it is undeniable that many of these names are just not as popular as they used to be.

It seems people nowadays are not interested in the classics and are going more for the unusual - a trend made popular by celebrities such as actress Gwyneth Paltrow naming her daughter Apple and singer Gwen Stefani her sons Apollo and Zuma.

According to BabyCentre in 2016 the most popular boys' names were Oliver, Muhammad, Noah, Harry and Jack while the most popular girls' names were Olivia, Lily, Sophia, Emily and Amelia.

Here is the full list of names that are on their way out. We apologise in advance if your name is on it . . .
