Jake Gyllenhaal and Ruth Wilson are reportedly “getting cosy”.

The Nightcrawler actor is currently starring alongside the English actress in Broadway show Constellations. But according to reports the pair have increasing chemistry off stage as well as on it and have been on a number of post-show rendezvous around the Big Apple - including the Glass House Tavern on 47th Street. “[They] can typically be found getting cosy after the show,” a source told The New York Daily News.

'I want to protect the people that I am with. Why tell people about it?'

The 34-year-old also took his co-star to see a late performance by John Cameron Mitchell in Hedwig and the Angry Inch at the Belasco. Once inside, Ruth was reportedly seen snuggling with her leading man.

“She rested her head on his shoulder,” the insider continued. “They were there with another friend and had a very hard time exiting the theatre once they were recognised.”

The stars have been performing together at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre since January 13. The show is Jake’s Broadway debut, having made his name in big budget films like Brokeback Mountain, The Day After Tomorrow and Prisoners.

Meanwhile 33-year-old Ruth has appeared in Jane Eyre, Saving Mr. Banks and Anna Karenina.

She recently opened up about how amusing she finds it to read stories about who she's currently romantically linked to.

“They link me to everyone I work with. And that’s because no one knows about my private life, because I don’t tell anyone about my private life. I don’t think it’s important, and also, I want to protect the people that I am with. Why tell people about it?" she mused. "It’s not interesting to me. I transform from role to role because you don’t know much about me."
