Jennifer Aniston apparently feels her relationship is now "solid" enough for kids.

The 45-year-old actress announced her engagement to Justin Theroux in August 2012 and their love has gone from strength to strength ever since. While they have yet to settle on a date for the wedding Jennifer has made her ambitions to expand her family clear, recently admitting she feels a "greater calling".

It's thought the stability of her relationship with Justin is what has encouraged her to think about children.

'Jennifer has made her ambitions to expand her family clear'

"She didn't ever want to bring babies into a relationship that wasn't extremely solid. Justin's smart, intelligent, well-read, hilarious, not egotistical, and rarely drinks," an insider told British magazine Look. "Jen says having him in the room is like having someone holding your hand all the time. Can you imagine a lovelier dad for her children?"

Her career is also heading in a new direction since she landed the role of Claire Simmons in drama Cake. She may have missed out on an Oscar nomination for her performance but has been praised by critics and fellow actresses, such as Meryl Streep. The legendary star reached out to Jennifer at the SAGs last month; a move which is said to have touched the blonde beauty.

"Meryl told Jen she deserved to win. It was validation that Jen's on the right path with her life," a source added. "To hear that from Meryl, who Jen admires so much, meant everything. Jen's not down about not being nominated for an Oscar - she's buzzing that people are even mentioning her in the same breath as the Academy Awards. She's really determined to keep stretching herself and do projects that are worthwhile."
