Jennifer Aniston supposedly spent her birthday “bowling and playing bar games”.

The Friends actress turned 46 years old on February 11.

And according to Us Weekly magazine, she celebrated her new age by hosting a “pretty laidback” gathering at the Spare Room, a swanky bowling alley located in Hollywood’s legendary Roosevelt Hotel.

'everybody was bowling and playing bar games'

A source tells the publication she and a few loved ones arrived to the venue at 9pm and soon after “everybody was bowling and playing bar games”.

Apparently Jennifer’s fiancé, Justin Theroux, was in attendance, along with her pals Courteney Cox, John Krasinski, Emily Blunt, Jimmy Kimmel, Molly McNearney, Malin Akerman, Isla Fisher, Sacha Baron Cohen, Tobey Maguire, Jennifer Meyer, Ken Marino, Amy Adams and Lake Bell. The group are said to have had a blast playing Backgammon, cards, chess, Monopoly and dominoes in addition to other classic games until the bash ended at 1am.

The Spare Room, which features a two-lane bowling alley, bar and photo booth amongst other top-notch amenities, rents out for more than $5,000 (R58, 200) per party.

Jennifer has much to celebrate currently. The star’s performance in drama Cake earned her best actress nominations at the Screen Actors Guild Awards and the Golden Globes this year.

It’s also rumoured she and future husband Justin, who announced their engagement in August 2012, recently cemented pre-nuptial agreement terms.

Financial implications were reportedly very important to the couple as, according to Celebrity Net Worth, Jennifer’s net fortune is $150 million (R1 billion), while Justin’s amassed $20 (R230 million) million to date.

"They came to an agreement after Justin scaled down his demands – at one point he suggested a £1.3 million (R23 million) 'cheating clause', but that's now off the table," an insider told British magazine Grazia.

"Jen's fortune is considerably greater than Justin's, but if the marriage ends, she'll now only pay out £1 million (R18 million)."
