Justin Bieber raised eyebrows on social media this weekend.

Justin Bieber raised eyebrows on social media this weekend, after he posted a picture of himself having an Amstel on Instagram. The 19-year-old was obviously taking advantage of the fact that you only need to by 18 to drink in South Africa, as opposed to 21 in the US. Justin posted the picture on Saturday night, with the caption “Beers in the jungle”. The post already has over 800 000 likes on Instagram. But thankfully, beer was not the only thing the Biebs absorbed in SA. He took in some local history and culture too - shortly after his Cape Town show last Wednesday, Justin tweeted: “Nelson Mandela is the man! #BELIEVE” He was also treated to a tour of a game reserve on the South African leg of his tour – he also posted some close-up pictures of an elephant on Saturday, hashtagging #Inthewild and captioning "God is good".

Justin melted hearts in Cape Town and Johannesburg on the South African leg of his Believe tour this week. In Cape Town, he pulled star struck Beliber Neli on stage, and serenaded her with the hit One Less Lonely Girl." Lucky Neli also made an appearance in one of Justin's tweets: “Great moment last night. #capetown #BELIEVE”

In Jozi, there wasn't a dry eye in the house when Justin brought his mom, Pattie Mallette, 38, up on stage to serenade her in honour of Mother's Day. “Happy Mother's Day @pattiemallette!” he tweeted after the show. “You will forever be Justin's OLLG! Love u.” On that high note, the Biebs heads home to "chill for a bit" before the next leg of his tour. “Great way to end this leg of the tour,” he tweeted last night. “Excited to chill for a bit but I will announce Australia, Asia , and S America real soon.”
