Lamb chops with a mint sauce

Delicious lamb chops with a mint sauce - how can you resist?

Serves 6

Preparation time: 5 min

Standing time: 1 hour

Cooking time: 15 min


10 ml (2 t) minced ginger

80 ml (? c) chopped fresh mint

60 ml (¼ c) chopped fresh coriander

1 green chilli

2 ml (½ t) five spice powder

15 ml (1 T) honey

60 ml (¼ c) rice wine vinegar

125 ml (½ c) oil

salt and pepper


6 lamb chops

1 Mint sauce: Combine the sauce ingredients in a food processor and purée until smooth. Taste and adjust the seasoning.

2 Meat: Put the chops in a sealable bag, pour in 45 ml (3 T) of the mint sauce and leave to marinate for 1 hour in the fridge.

3 Preheat the grill to medium high. Grill the chops for 5 minutes on each side.

4 Transfer the chops to plates and spoon the remaining mint sauce over. Serve with rice.
