Lucas Radebe set to become a Leeds United shareholder

Former Leeds United player and Bafafa Bafana Captain Lucas Radebe is about to become a Leeds United shareholder.

Rhoo has confirmed being part of a consortium looking to purchase Leeds United FC shares.

On his website he stated: “Following recent speculation, I can confirm that I am part of a consortium which has submitted a preliminary indication of interest regarding the acquisition of a stake in Leeds United Football Club.”

He adds: “Leeds United has a special place in my heart. Ever since I retired I have been considering ways to get involved at the Club – working at Board level with an equity interest would be the pinnacle. It is my dream scenario.”

The soccer icon made over 201 appearances for the UK based club since joining it 1994 and an additional 70 caps for SA national team.
