The case of missing Madeleine McCann is being revisited after UK detectives began tracking down new suspects.

It’s the case that keeps going, the story that continues to go unsolved – the little girl who is still missing after 6 years.

And now the case of missing Madeleine McCann is being revisited after UK detectives began tracking down 20 possible suspects who it is deemed may have vital information about Madeleine’s disappearance.

Madeleine disappeared just days before her fourth birthday at the family’s holiday apartment in the Algarve, Portugal in 2007. And the quest to find the young girl continues.

Officers investigating the case have drawn a list of ‘people of interest’ that they will question in connection with Maddie’s disappearance.

The list includes many previously known characters, such as a group of freelance cleaners who’s van was sighted in the same area where Madeleine disappeared and a middle-aged mystery couple who presumably rented a flat near the McCanns during the same period.

Scotland Yard officials are reportedly urging the Portuguese police to reopen the case and find the British cleaners and the mystery couple. Due to jurisdiction issues, only the Portuguese police can make arrests. It is essential that they reopen the case to pursue any new evidence laid bare by the detectives.

Detective Chief Superintendent Hamish Campbell has said: "There is more than a handful of people of interest which could be explored further if only to be eliminated. The key things are to investigate the case and our work is happening to support the Portuguese."

The well-documented case is now receiving new attention with the new investigation. This offers fresh hope for her family who have been on a continual journey to seek their missing daughter, Madeiline – now, age 9.
