Mundolene’s memorial service will be held in Springs on Friday.

The family of Mundolene Vosloo (17) are expecting thousands of people to attend her memorial service.

Mundolene, a learner at Hoërskool Hugenote in Springs, collapsed last Wednesday after her stepmother allegedly attacked her.

She was on holiday in Mauritius with her father, Mike Vosloo, two brothers (whose names may not be revealed because they’re minors) and her stepmother, Marietjie Vosloo. They arrived in Mauritius on Tuesday and were staying in the Riu Creole Hotel.

At the request of Mundolene’s mother, Mariska van Heerden, Mike couldn’t give any more details about the memorial service because there will already be so many people attending.

“At this stage we’re expecting more than 3 000 people,” he told YOU.

“The funeral will be attended by family and mainly friends. She had a vast circle of friends. There’s no more seating available. Some of her friends will stand outside.”

Mike says Mundolene will be cremated.
