Miley Cyrus says she’s more comfortable naked in front of people than being seen crying

The Wrecking Ball hitmaker has talked about the creative process behind the music video of her recent hit single which sees her writhe around naked and straddle a wrecking ball. She says it was more daunting for her to cry on camera than strip down.

She said, "For me nudity has never been something that I've ever tripped about. I don't really see it the way everyone else sees it.

"I'd rather be naked in front of people than cry in front of people, because I don't like showing weakness and that shows a lot of, like, vulnerabilities."

The video also features emotional close-ups of the 20-year-old star crying. Miley, who recently called off her engagement to Hunger Games hunk Liam Hemsworth, says she really felt the emotions she was trying to convey in the video.

In an interview with Vevo music website, she added, "I really did feel the way that you see me. I wanted people to look into my eyes and . . . you can't even fake that. You can fake tears, you can fake all that, even though I wasn't, but when you look into someone's eyes you can tell if they're really feeling what they are saying or not."
