Put the fun back in food - by making this delicious mini toad in the hole

Serves 4

Preparation time: 5 min

Cooking time: 30 min

125 g flour

1 egg

250 ml (1 c) milk

salt and pepper

300 g boerewors

1 Preheat the oven to 200 °C. Grease 4 ramekins and place in the oven to heat.

2 Sift the flour into a bowl, beat the egg, milk, salt and pepper together and stir into the flour until smooth.

3 Heat a pan over high heat, add the boerewors and fry until evenly browned. Cut into 8 pieces.

4 Remove the ramekins from the oven and put two pieces of boerewors in each. Divide the batter evenly among the ramekins and return to the oven for 20 minutes.

5 Serve with mixed vegetables.
