Mom left fuming after finding 'drugs' in her daughter's room – but she couldn't have been more wrong

This mom got the fright of her life when she discovered colourful 'pills' in her daughter's bedroom.

Catching your kids with drugs a parent’s worst nightmare.

One mom from Texas received the shock of her life when her daughter Ashley Banks texted her asking to go to her bedroom to find her calculator, but she stumbled upon colourful pills that resembled drugs.

The furious mother immediately texted her 16-year-old daughter, “what are these?”

“Ashley Carol I will not have drugs in my house. Come home right now. As soon as your dad comes home from California we will discuss your consequences.

“As for now your grounded and you will not be leaving the house, come home this instant [sic].”

But Ashley was having none of it.

After explaining to her mother what the suspicious-looking capsules were, Ashley ordered her irate mother to put them in water.

And after following her daughter’s instructions, the confused mom simply responds with a picture showing four colourful foam dinosaurs floating in a glass bowl.

The suspected drugs turned out to be Magic Grow Capsules that grow to miniature dinosaurs when placed in water.

Somewhat sheepishly, she texted her daughter “Nevermind, you don’t have to come home.”

The teen decided to share this moment on her Twitter page and the exchange has received over 40 000 likes and more than 27 000 retweets.

The mother also didn’t waste any time to take a dig at her teenager with the question, “Why in the Earth would you buy these? I thought you were 16 not 7?”

Ashley replied with a simple; “Idk (I don’t know) they looked cool.”
