What’s it about?

This drama is based on the true story of a New York businessman, David Marks, whose wife, Katie, has disappeared. Was she murdered?

Who will enjoy it?

This devastating, intelligent crime drama may not be a documentary but readers who watch the Crime & Investigation Network channel on DStv will love it.

Director Andrew Jarecki, who made the highly controversial doccie Capturing the Friedmans, digs deep into the guts of his characters, excellently portrayed especially by Ryan Gosling. It’s just a matter of time before this actor gets his Oscar!

Jarecki takes a painstakingly detailed look at the facts, especially ones that recently came to light, and comes to a conclusion that’ll shock you.

His style is free of tricks and plot devices; he confronts you with the cold, hard facts as he analyses David Marks’ cool, unemotional and apathetic actions with coldblooded precision.

You’ll have a cold feeling in the pit of your stomach as you watch this cleverly constructed drama and accompany the characters on their journey to the truth.

The question though is this: has Jarecki really uncovered the truth, or is there another explanation? It’s intense, relevant and controlled. For viewers who love stories about unsolved crimes.
