Just when you thought our friends, the survivors of the Ice Age, were finally living in peace the continents drift and a whole new bunch of adventures begin.

Yes, in this animation featuring nowextinct animals the ice once again hits the fan. This time they’re travelling on an iceberg when they’re kidnapped by pirates led by a creepy gorilla.

So even if they manage to survive the cataclysmic events the pirates are likely to kill them.

It’s the cue for even more chases, rare animals and over-the-top adventures than before. And, of course, plenty of comedy and hilarious misunderstandings.

The squirrel’s infamous acorn that has already been responsible for so much drama this time causes a disastrous crack that’s funnier than anything so far.

Parents can rest assured: Ice Age 4 will have the kids nailed to the screen and you won’t hear anything but laughter and screams.

Definitely the kids’ movie of the week!
